My needs are limited because they are sensual, because I like being sated, living in a house and being useful to my friends.
A Left-Winger in Hamburg-St. Georg
He cannot be included, collected by religions, political parties, trade unions. He shifts his spare money on to new forms of enlightenment and activity, such as www.watermakesmoney.org. Mostly he doesn't live by barter and money, because they necessarily end up to capitalism and fascism; he lives in the network of free-shops, in the network of Longo maï (a European agricultural cooperative), in the network of the Global Justice Movement). He shares what he can spare with people next to him. For him, labour is only an appendix to his private life which feeds on joy of life, on the lake Alster, on the surroundings of Hamburg, on the recreation in the Alster Park, on the river Elbe, on self-sufficient production. For others to enjoy life the same way he is an acitvist for the Unconditional Basic Income of 1500 Euro net per month for everybody; thus money no longer takes a predominant part in human life.
His critique of the ruling left:
We fight capitalism. There is no need of developing an alternative world at the same time. - Historically and by Marxist categories, this has been proved false.
Our activities are concentrated in companies and trade unions. Private life is only an appendix of labour life. - Historically and by Marxist categories, this has been proved false. For the left, labour life is an appendix of private life.
Master of the new society is not the labourer. - Historically and by Marxist categories, this has been proved false.
He judges people by their answerd to the hidden question: What are you going to do in times of change?
What this life has taught me:
Don't ignore the seriousness of a situation.
Relax and ponder.
Enjoy change, i.e. the moment.
Take it easy. Don't regard yourself terribly important. KT
